Job Summary

***Stream 1: Curriculum Development Advisor, Stream 2: Change Management Advisor***

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research is a federal government agency that provides funding to support the work of thousands of researchers. In order to support those efforts we are in search of Advisors in two specific fields of expertise: Curriculum Development and Change management. We are looking for advisors who can work collaboratively with subject matter experts to develop curriculums and change management strategies.

The Advisors will be responsible for providing expert advice and support for development and implementation of curriculums, learning plans and change management strategies to ensure stakeholder engagement and adoption of business changes.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is client focused and is able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote excellence in peer review and deliver advice and solutions in a timely matter.

Essential Qualifications

Education
Both Streams:
• Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience relevant to the position.

Experience

Stream 1:

• Experience in curriculum design and development (including planning, instructional design, content creation and implementation)
• Experience implementing adult learning principles
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal or external clients
• Experience in conducting research, assembling information from multiple sources, and creating effective content for a variety of audiences and documents such as plans, reports and presentations.

Stream 2:

• Experience leading, developing and executing change management plans
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal or external clients
• Experience developing and executing communication and training plans to support change efforts
• Experience in conducting research, assembling information from multiple sources, and creating effective content for a variety of audiences and documents such as plans, reports and presentations.

Knowledge

Stream 1:

• Knowledge of adult learning styles, training methods and instructional techniques.
• Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in learning and leadership development.

Stream 2:

• Knowledge of project management methodologies as well as project management principles, practices and/or tools.
• Knowledge of change management methodologies as well as change management principles, practices and/or tools

Asset Qualifications

Experience

Stream 1:
• Experience working in a research or a research funding environment
• Experience in coordinating, hosting and delivering webinar
• Experience in developing web-based instructional learning content (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, etc.)
• Experience with utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) for eLearning distribution, eLearning software and technology and/or other training software and technology
• Experience working with audio/video recording and editing software

Stream 2:

• Knowledge of the research community and of the university setting in Canada
