Police Services Executive Assistant

Help create Kelowna as a City of the Future and join our team as the Police Services Executive Assistant. As a respected and trusted partner within the Senior Leadership team, you play an integral role by providing confidential, senior level administrative support functions to the Officer in Charge (OIC – RCMP), Police Services Manager, and the Client Services Officer (RCMP). You are a liaison between the public and senior leadership handling inquiries or redirecting to staff, agencies, and government departments. You prioritize and distribute incoming communications including the OIC’s e-mail. This dynamic, fast paced position is ideal for someone who is a detail-oriented professional with superior administrative skills, acts independently and takes initiative. You are expected to maintain an efficient and effective executive office with considerable diplomacy, patience, problem-solving and flexibility.
- Office Administration Certificate or related education
- Experience in an Executive Office with knowledge of business and administrative procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Communication skills, basic financial experience and customer service training
- Good understanding of government regulations and structure
- Knowledge of the RCMP organization
