Planning & Development Clerk

Full-time Term Vacancy (Approximately 12 months)
 
The District of Lake Country is seeking a full-time Term Planning & Development Clerk to join their team for an approximate twelve-month period to support both the Planning and Building teams.  The Planning & Development Clerk is responsible for providing general information to the public; setting up meetings and appointments; providing clerical and research services for the Planning & Development department, tracking files, and handling the records management and mail systems in a knowledgeable, courteous and efficient manner for both internal and external customers.  In addition, the Planning & Development Clerk prepares agendas and minutes as directed and prepares advertisements in relation to applications.
 
The normal work week is 35 hours Monday through Friday.
 
The preferred candidates will have a minimum of one year toward a college diploma in office administration, business administration, public administration or related field.  Two years of experience is required in an engineering or development or building setting in either the public or private sector.
 
The hourly rate of pay for this unionized position is $28.07 per hour plus 17.4% in lieu of all benefits including sick time, vacation, statutory holidays, and pension.
