The City of Kamloops has an opportunity for a Permanent, Full-Time highly skilled Engineering Design Technician II whose work involves using AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D design software to complete complex design and drafting for City owned projects such as roads/sidewalks, water/sanitation mains and street lighting. This position will also provide detailed information on service locations to field crews and the public as well as produce and file record drawings. This position requires a well-organized, motivated individual with a high degree of visual and mental concentration on a frequent basis. If you are

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school or its equivalent.
- Completion of a two-year Computer Aided Design and Drafting program OR a two-year Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum three years’ previous experience in municipal design using AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D design software.
- Certified as a Civil Technologist (AScT) or a Civil Technician (CTech) with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.

Hours & Days of Work
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (summer) 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (winter)
